I Am ONE Year OLDER!, The MBS Edition
So after having our lunch at Lucas, Klapsons The Boutique Hotel, we decided to take a cab down to the Marina Bay Sands for our little adventure. Since we have not been to the Marina Bay Sands before, in our mind we were expecting something grander and classier. And of course, to our great surprise, it was all the opposite.
We took a cab to Tower One of the Marina Bay Sands hotel and we alighted right at the entrance. Man were we shocked to see the crowd! It’s like, may I put it in a very direct way, a pasar malam! It’s as if the whole world has descended on Marina Bay Sands! As we walked in, the grand and classy image falls through. The crowd of people in casual clothes in comparison to our outfit made us felt like we overdressed for our trip there. I swear we will be dressed in casuals the next time we are there, probably more than 6 months later seeing that the Marina Bay Sands is just so boring!
We paid for our tickets to go to the Sky Park and was disappointed to find out that it was really a hazy day despite the sky looking alright when you’re at the ground. So we didn’t really have a beautiful view of the city though it was still interesting to see the city view and beyond from high-up.
So the next shocking thing came. Many would think the Marina Bay Sands Infinity Pool is really an interesting place to go to but sadly it’s only for guests.
But do you know that the public can walked around behind the Infinity Pool? It’s like if you’re one of the guests, you will be parading in front of everyone with no privacy. It’s so weird though some might think it’s cool that they get to enjoy the pool and the view. But honestly I prefer my privacy more than coolness. So if you have any intentions of staying over at the Marina Bay Sands hotel and want to enjoy the Infinity Pool, do so on a weekday for the serenity unless of ‘cos if you are an exhibitionist. 🙂
After getting bored with the Sky Park, we went back to Level 1 of the Marina Bay Sands and walked over to the shopping area. Most of the shops were really empty and you can really see most of the staff stoning their time away by staring at their shop entrance, waiting for someone to step in. Had a walk around and there really wasn’t anything much that caught our eyes, so we decided to find a place to rest my feet after a long walk in my high heels.
While trying to find some cafe to rest our legs, we realised there really weren’t many places for us to hang out considering many shops are still under renovation. So we decided to head back to the hotel area to find a place to rest our feet before heading off to Marina Square to continue roaming. 🙂
To be continued…
