After staying a lovely night at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, it was time to rise and shine to head over to Tokyo DisneySea for another day of adventure~! Since Tokyo DisneySea is the one and only one in the world, we have lots to look forward to, especially getting our hands on the Disney bear~! Also we were lucky to visit Tokyo DisneySea during their 10th-year so there was quite a lot of decorations and toys that they were selling to commemorate Tokyo DisneySea’s 10th-year of opening~ (´▽`♡) ホッ♪

Time to enter Tokyo DisneySea and being greeted with a majestic-looking mountain structure~! (p^o^)p

And not long after, we spotted a performance going on with lots and lots of people crowding around the stage at the Mediterranean Harbour. Always a pleasure to look at the Disney characters perform! So CUTE! ♪ ♬ ヾ(´︶`☆)ノ ♬ ♪

Here’s us looking silly with our Tokyo DisneySea hairband. Hehe.

As we walked around, we spotted a queue forming. Not knowing what it was, we decided to queue up being typical Singaporeans!!! Haha! So apparently the queue was to use a lottery system to get tickets for a performance. I can’t seem to find the performance from the official Tokyo DisneySea website so am not very sure was it just for their 10-year commemoration. We were pretty lucky to get quite a good seat as we entered the performance area at the specified time.

Not too far from the stage as we waited~!

And the show started with everything in Japanese again. Selective photos again~! (´ㅂ`)

After the performance, we spotted a Donald-and-Daisy-Duck fan. Once you see the photo you will know why. Haha! Was pretty amazed. She was even hugging a Daisy Duck soft-toy~! (`・∀・´)

With some more exploring around, it was time for some food and lunch. I ermmmm. Don’t remember where we had our lunch already. Oops. *fading memory…*

The different modes of transportation we saw as we explored DisneySea though sadly we didn’t take any. I think we are both boring people when exploring theme parks. Haha! We preferred to walk around and we usually avoid rides, mainly to avoid queues and explore more but also to avoid me getting motion sickness and spoiling the whole adventure.

There was the popular Tower of Terror which we avoided for the just-in-case again. Was tempted to try but my motion-sickness always held me back. Boohoo! (。╥﹏╥。)

The Big Band Beat performance which we missed ‘cos of the timing. Sadzzzz. So note to everyone visiting theme parks for performances to plan your schedule beforehand if you want to try to watch all performances.

More walking around with random photo-taking of the attractions and not forgetting the many Christmas decorations around DisneySea during the Christmas season.

Presents under the Christmas tree~! I want to have one too!

Tokyo Sights - Tokyo DisneySea

Not forgetting mascots we saw around DisneySea~! I think we saw less mascots at DisneySea as compared to Disneyland. Maybe it was the timing we roamed around the different areas. Stitch was sadly not as cute as the Stitch I saw in animations. (╥╭╮╥ )

Then we spotted a crowd gathering around… Nothing? Then we noticed they were all looking at the floor and that’s when we realised someone had drew with water on the floor of Mickey and Minnie Mouse~! Lovely art!

As previously mentioned, one thing ’bout visiting Tokyo DisneySea in 2011 was their special 10-year commemoration. Hence there was this interesting activity for all visitors of Tokyo DisneySea where you can purchase a wand and go around Tokyo DisneySea looking for Disney character structures to “scan” your wand to register your visit into the wand. Each character has their own color and upon collecting all the colors on your wand, you will be able to exchange for a “gold” coin! Haha! It was one of the pure fun we had at DisneySea since it actually gave us a purpose during the visit besides walking around the theme park. キャー(ノ´∀`*)ノシ

Noticed someone put their hand on this round panel? That was the point to scan the wand to register it to the wand. It was actually quite fun exploring DisneySea during then while finding the checkpoints for our wands. Hehe.

So after finding all the checkpoints and we were done with exploring, we decided to wait for the night performance, Fantasmic!, which was held at the Mediterranean Harbour. As previously mentioned in my Disneyland blog entry, guests staying the the DisneySea hotel was fortunate if they had their balcony facing the Mediterranean Harbour ‘cos the Fantasmic! performance was pure enjoyable and fantastic! So like most Japanese, we decided to pick a spot and wait for the performance. WRONG MOVE. We didn’t came prepared for the rather cold night at DisneySea since our jacket was rather thin and no blankets or hot drinks. Feng did in the end bought a set of towel and hot chocolate for us to keep warm while we waited. Once in a while we will take turns to go to the toilet or visit the shops to get some warmth. But the good thing was, we did get quite a good seat for the performance! Haha! Oh well. Here’s to end off Fantasmic!

After the performance ended, it was time for us to head back to the Disneyland hotel to pick up our luggage and head back to Shinjuku. We decided to take the shuttle bus back to Shinjuku instead of by train. The bus experience was, once again, rather interesting. It was interesting that Japanese always though we are Japanese and always spoke to us in Japanese even when we displayed puzzle on our face. So when we boarded the bus, there was actually no more seats so we thought we were supposed to stand all the way to Shinjuku, which will be terrible ‘cos it was actually pretty far. So the Japanese on the bus were telling us to sit down in Japanese as I wondered where to sit. On the floor?! Our face was full of questions as we tried to understand what they were saying. It went on for a while before someone pulled out a foldable chair from the side of their seat! AHHH! So that’s where you want me to sit. I love language barrier ‘cos it makes the trip more fun. Hahaha! (´-﹏-`;)

OMAKASE TIME~! A DisneySea MUST HAVE, the Disney bear~! The Disney bear can only be bought in DisneySea and nowhere else, not even in Disneyland.

Tokyo Sights - Tokyo DisneySea

I bought both Duffy and Shellie. Sadly they are both now being kept in the cupboard and not out for display since I have no place at home to put them. Hehe.

Tokyo Sights - Tokyo DisneySea

And of ‘cos a photo with Shellie is a must, if you have the time! Hehe. I was tempted to take a photo with her but backed out at the end. Wonder why. Blah.

Tokyo Sights - Tokyo DisneySea

Tokyo DisneySea is actually more suitable for adults as their rides are catering mainly for adults as compared to the more kiddy Disneyland. And I felt like I enjoyed myself more at Disneyland as there was more childhood there as compared to DisneySea but that’s not to say DisneySea was bad but just not as fun. Considering that Tokyo DisneySea is the only one around the world, I guess that’s the only thing that makes visiting DisneySea special. For us, we were fortunate that it was the 10th year for DisneySea and there was extra activity to keep us occupied.

Hopefully I will be able to come up with the Disneyland Hotel blog entry soon ‘cos I am getting scared of editing Disney photos. Too many! It’s too many! Ahhhhh~! (ت)♪
